Cardalis® contains both benazepril and spironolactone in the same tablet and has been shown to improve quality of life and prolong life when used as part of first-line heart failure therapy.
Uses:
For the treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs with valvular heart disease (with diuretic support as appropriate).
Application:
Once daily administration with food as follows:
Cardalis Small 2.5mg benazepril/ 20mg spironolactone:
2.5 - 5kg = 0.5 tablet
5 - 10kg = 1 tablet
Cardalis Medium 5mg benazepril/ 40mg spironolactone:
10 – 20kg = 1 tablet
Cardalis Large 10mg benazepril/ 80mg spironolactone:
20 – 40kg = 1 tablet
40 – 60kg = 1.5 tablets
60 – 80kg = 2 tablets
