Semintra® 4 mg/ml oral solution for cats is a treatment for cats with chronic kidney disease (CKD), it assists with the reduction of proteinuria.
CKD can cause a buildup of waste products and other potentially harmful compounds in the cats bloodstream; these would usually be removed or regulated by the kidneys. The accumulation of these compounds may make them feel ill, become lethargic and lose weight. They may also urinate more frequently and drink more water to compensate. The failed kidney function can also effect the absorption of useful proteins and vitamins; resulting in an abnormal metabolic rate; a loss of general appetite and potentially an increased blood pressure. If your cat starts to show any of these issues, please speak to a vet.
The solution should be administered orally, either mixed with a small amount of food or directly into the mouth using the measuring syringe provided in the box.
Semintra® 4 mg/ml oral solution for cats is available in 2 bottle sizes:
• 30 ml
• 100 ml
Full instructions on the use of Semintra® for Cats are included in every pack, though do also follow your vets recommendations.
Semintra is a prescription item and will be sent once a valid prescription is received.
Legal Category: POM-V
